Hi all you lovely chic mammas! I hope your diets are going better than mine! Lol. Just kidding. I had a couple of missteps but more on that in a minute.
Last week I weighed in at 137.2 lbs. I am 5’2 and my first big goal is to get to 115 lbs. Only 22 lbs to go. Totally doable! So lets weigh in.
Weigh-In Week 3
Drumroll…..I weighed in at 137.2 lbs. Exactly the same as last week. So what happened?
I was doing great from days 1-5. On day 6 Dave brought home cookies and ice cream. I am afraid that my healthy diet is not yet very ingrained and the temptation proved to be too much. And when I go off a little I tend to go off a lot. That cookie led to lots of chips and guac, extra handfuls of cashews. sneaking popcorn. You get the picture. Pandora’s box was opened. How did I manage to eat what probably equated to thousands of extra calories in two short days? With ease and gusto. I am just happy I didn’t gain this week!
What I Ate Wednesday
I have decided that it would also be fun to do a picture diary chronicling what I am eating to lose weight. I only planned to take pictures of my meals so I failed to get pictures of my gluttonous snacks.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
So I know for next week if it goes in my mouth it gets a picture, planned or not!
I had two fried eggs with 2Tbsp of guacamole for breakfast. A baked buffalo drumstick with ranch, celery, and small salad for lunch. Lemon and tomato chicken with parmesan couscous for dinner on day 1.
I had a Chobani Flip Yogurt for breakfast. A Culver’s Chicken Cashew Salad with Sesame Ginger Dressing for lunch. Bean Noodles with marinara and turkey meatballs for dinner. Pasta recipe is from Deceptively Delicious. This cookbook might be great for those of you with picky eaters as it hides extra veggies in the recipes.
Breakfast was more fried eggs with guacamole. Lunch was leftover pasta. For dinner we enjoyed 4 oz ribeyes with brown sugar carrots on the side.
Day 4 was more yogurt for breakfast. For lunch I had a salad with grilled chicken, cheese, cashews, guacamole, cherry tomatoes, and low calorie sesame ginger dressing. Dinner was turkey chili with a little cheese and sour cream.
On Day 5 I had an egg scramble with cherry tomatoes, spinach, and parmesan. Lunch was leftover chili. Dinner was honey chicken with green beans and rice.
More yogurt for breakfast. The same salad setup as day 4. For dinner we got really fancy with duck breast, mashed potato and salad. This was also day one of the unintended feasting so lots of chips and dip, cookies, etc. that aren’t pictured here.
Breakfast was fried eggs with chili sauce and parmesan. The last of the leftover chili was for lunch. Dinner was shepherd’s pie.
This was the second day of gluttony. Lots of ice cream may have been involved.
Like I said earlier, I am just glad I didn’t gain this week. I am a little bummed that its this early in and I already messed up. But whatevs.
Dave has promised not to bring me any more cookies. Of course its not his fault, ultimately I am the one who put them in my body. But it sure makes it easier for me when that stuff isn’t around, at least until my habits are a little more solid. Sometimes when I mess up I have a hard time getting back on the diet so my main concern is letting this slip spiral me out of control.
Guess we’ll find out next week!
